Secret Gili Camping Trip: Overview
Whether you’re looking to explore the Secret Gilis or for the absolute BEST way to end the epic four day Lombok Loop adventure, there’s no better way to do it than with our epic island hopping and camping trip to the Secret Gili Islands.
We depart every Friday, Sunday, and Tuesday, heading to these hidden gems off the Sekotong Peninsula for snorkeling, island hopping, and camping Gili Kedis, a tiny sandbar island surrounded by crystal-clear water.
The Lombok Loop is mostly inland and along beaches, but the Secret Gilis are all about the ocean. Think stunning waters, vibrant coral reefs, and quiet white-sand beaches. Camping under a starry sky, sharing a campfire BBQ, and hanging out with your new travel buddies is honestly the perfect way to wrap up the adventure of a lifetime.
Trip Cost: $99 per person.
- Hotel Pickup INCLUDED: We collect you from your hotel in Kuta, Senggigi, or Bangsal. For other locations in Lombok, transport is available for a small additional charge.
- Pickup at 10:00 AM.
- To break up the journey, we will stop in our founder’s village to meet locals and see their daily life up close.
- Try your hand at making coconut oil the local way with the village workshop.
- Enjoy a delicious traditional lunch prepared by the villagers (Buffet Lunch 50K IDR per person).
- 2:00 PM – Journey to Sekotong Harbor:
- Hop into air-conditioned transport for a scenic 40-minute drive to the harbor.
- Board a traditional perahu island-hopping boat and set off to the Secret Gili Islands.
- Arrival at the Secret Gilis:
- Begin at the smallest island, Gili Kedis, a tiny sandbar surrounded by white sand and crystal-clear waters.
- Once we arrive on Gili Kedis, you’ll have some free time for swimming, snorkeling, relaxing on the beach, lounging in a hammock, enjoying the beach swings, playing beach volleyball, or just soaking up the scenery.
- As the sun sets, enjoy a traditional island dinner (included) shared with the group — usually fresh fish, vegetables, nasi goreng, and tropical fruit.
- Campfire gathering under the stars. Share laughs, songs, and stories with your new travel friends.
- Stargaze under millions of stars and share music from around the world while enjoying a few drinks.
- If you’re lucky, witness bioluminescent plankton or swim under the bright full moon!
- Overnight stay in a tent on the beach, with camping mat and sleeping bag included for a comfortable night on the sand.
- Wake up to the gentle sound of waves on Gili Kedis and enjoy a tropical breakfast prepared fresh on the beach (included).
- Board the motorized outrigger boat for a morning of island hopping among the Secret Gilis. This is the best time to go exploring the Secret Gilis as we will have the islands to ourselves (it gets busy after lunch).
- Gili Nanggu: Explore vibrant coral reefs and snorkel among colorful fish. This island is a true underwater paradise. Relax on the white sand beach or take a short walk around the island.
- Gili Sudak: Swim in calm, shallow waters or simply unwind on your own private stretch of sand. Ideal for taking it slow and enjoying the serenity.
- Gili Tangkong: Venture to this remote island for a more authentic experience, explore the small coconut plantation, swim in pristine waters, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
- Lunch at a Local Warung – Enjoy authentic Indonesian fresh seafood, fried rice, noodles with vegetables, or chicken (meals range from 35K IDR and up, depending on your order).
- 2:00 PM – Depart back to Lombok.
- Drop-off at your next destination – We provide transportation to Kuta, Senggigi, or Bangsal.
- For other locations in Lombok, an additional charge applies.
